South-Africa meets Germany at Hotel Tiefenhagen

Jill and Goof, the owners of Hotel Tiefenhagen in Germany, just joined Swop and Stay when they received their first request to accept a Swop from Gouritz Guest House in South Africa. As very enthousiastic members they gladly accepted the request. Read their experience below.

Making International fiends

After only one month of membership, we received our first intercontinental guest out of South Africa. It was amazing to have Elsa, Fred and Fred over, even if it was just for one night.
We exchanged Tips and Tricks and therefor I am very thankfull for this Swop and Stay World Platform to gain international friends.
Introduction of Jill and Goof when they joined Swop and Stay
Dear swoppers, firstly I would like to thank Swop and Stay for this amazing platform and hopefully, it will be such a succes as it is now in Africa. Goof and myself bought a 15 room hotel with restaurant 2 years ago in beautiful Sauerland, where walkers, cyclists and bikers can find themselves in the Walhalla of Germany. Mountains, valley’s, lakes and small creeks make sure you can have an amazing stay in the province (bundesland) Nordrhein-Westfalen.
We moved out of the netherlands and started the adventure in Germany. Goof worked for lang time as a ship engineer for overhauling or revision on the large transportships. I was born I hospitality, but choose a different career in the engineering world of oil and gas… at some day Goof and I decided to change our lives and start a small hotel.
We fell in love with beautiful Sauerland and decided to stay here.
If you would like to travel intercontinental, please don’t hesitate to give us a visit and we make sure you feel the German hospitality
